"A dream is a wish your heart makes."
Many know those lyrics from the 1950 Disney film "Cinderella," but they rang true last week for Sidney Nelson, an 11-year-old Fulton girl who lived her dream of visiting Disney World and swimming with dolphins.
Nelson, who uses a wheelchair following an all-terrain vehicle accident last year, made the trip through the Mexico charter of Dream Factory, Inc., a group dedicated to granting wishes of children 3 through 18 who are "critically or chronically ill."
Nelson's name was entered to the organization, which then contacted her to make a dream come true. She ultimately decided she wanted to take a swim with dolphins after she saw the film "Dolphin Tale."
Dream Factory flew Nelson, her brother, Levi, and her parents, Laura and Willie, to Orlando for a six-day all expenses paid vacation to Disney World and nearby Discovery Cove, where she and her brother got to swim with dolphins, sting rays and other aquatic animals.
