Westminster College President Barney Forsythe invited a pair of special guests up on the stage during the opening session of the 2012 Westminster Symposium, Religious Experience in Global Society, Tuesday morning.
Once Jim and Sharon Harrod joined him on the stage, Forsythe announced that the couple will be funding a professorship in honor of famed writer, educator and theologian C. S. Lewis, the Harrod-C. S. Lewis Professor of Religious Studies.
"This person will be a leader among faculty and students ... and will eventually become the Harrod-C. S. Lewis endowed chair," Forsythe said. "This is a big deal and is happening purely out of the love Jim and Sharon have for Westminster College.
