3rd Mexican restaurant opens in Fulton

El Patron Mexican Restaurant is now open at 823 Business 54 South in Fulton.

Completely remodeled throughout, the new restaurant features a wide variety of authentic Mexican dishes. Its specialties are Steak Patron, chimachunga, and chicken with mushrooms.

The owner of the business is Mauricio Vazquez, who said he gained restaurant experience working at El Jimador Mexican Restaurant in Jefferson City.

Vazquez said he decided to open his own restaurant in Fulton. It is the third Mexican-style restaurant in Fulton.

Vazquez said business has been brisk at the new restaurant since it opened last Wednesday.

The manager of the restaurant is Irma Rodriguez.

Vazquez said the restaurant seats about 200 and also has a full bar and a large patio area. With both draft and bottled beer, the restaurant and bar has an extended happy hour from 3 to 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
