A biology major at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Kristen Cassidy never really had aspirations to be a model, but when she saw that Crane's Country Store was looking for someone to star in its next advertising campaign, she thought, why not?

"It was kind of a spur-of-the-moment decision," said Cassidy, who has been named the winner of the Crane's Store and Studio Seven Photography's Mid-Missouri Model Search. "I just knew Crane's and Studio Seven as prominent members of our community. It seemed like a great opportunity."

As the winner of the model search, Cassidy - a Fulton native and 2010 graduate of North Callaway High School - will receive free modeling training and a free modeling portfolio from Studio Seven, and will be featured in Crane's Country Store's online, social media and print advertising this fall. She also will receive $150 worth of clothing from Crane's.
