Missouri Military Academy senior forward Jesus Gonzalez netted a hat trick against the No. 2 seeded Fulton Hornets as the third-seeded Colonels prevailed in the semifinals of the Class 1, District 7 tournament at the high school athletic complex on Monday.
Gonzalez's first goal came unassisted and 12 minutes into play to give MMA a 1-0 lead. Hornets sophomore forward Kevin Wallace tied the game two minutes later with an unassisted goal but Gonzalez took the lead back for the Colonels just seconds later with his second goal. He scored again in the 33rd minute of the first half to give MMA a 3-1 lead at the intermission.
