Assistant Superintendent Suzanne Hull held the floor for a good portion of Wednesday night's Fulton School Board meeting as she went over the district's annual Student Performance Report.
Much of her presentation was a review of data and information already made available to board members through previous meetings and reports. Some of that same information also already has been made available to the public through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Hull again pointed out that Fulton schools achieved 13 of 14 points the state uses when evaluating annual performance. She also revisited MAP results and reminded the board that the district's ACT composite score went up this year from 21.4 to 21.8, which Hull pointed out is above the state and national averages. She said 37.6 percent of graduating seniors scored at or above the national average in 2012.
Hull highlighted the district's graduation rate as well, noting it bounced back up from 73.5 percent in 2011 to 76.7 percent in 2012.
"Our graduation rate continues to be a struggle although we did see some improvement," she said, going on to point out that, "if you look at our dropout rate, it's about 5 or 6 percent."
