Fulton plans scrimmages Thursday night

The Fulton High School and Fulton Middle School boys' and girls' basketball teams will preview the upcoming 2012-13 season with a series of scrimmages Thursday night at the high school's Roger D. Davis Gymnasium.

The scrimmages will be part of a Missouri State High School Activities Association basketball officials' mechanics clinic.

The FMS girls will scrimmage against each other for 20 minutes starting at 5:40 p.m., followed by the FMS seventh-grade boys with a 15-minute scrimmage beginning at 6:10. The FMS eighth-grade boys will also scrimmage for 15 minutes starting at 6:25.

The varsity girls' basketball team will then conduct a 20-minute scrimmage tipping off at 6:50, followed by a 15-minute scrimmage against the junior varsity girls at 7:10. The junior varsity boys will then scrimmage against each other for 15 minutes beginning at 7:35, followed by a 15-minute scrimmage against the varsity boys at 7:50.

The varsity boys will then finish the night with a 20-minute scrimmage against each other at 8:05.

There will be a 25-minute meeting for parents of varsity and junior varsity boys' players in the high school library at 6:30. A 25-minute meeting for parents of varsity and junior varsity girls' players will follow at 7:30.

Thursday night's scrimmages are free and open to the public.
