The William Woods University Owls - receiving double-double efforts from senior forward Roy McElroy and junior guard Blake Burgess - opened the 2012-13 season by coasting past St. Louis Christian College 72-49 on Tuesday night at Anderson Arena.
William Woods shot 54 percent (21-of-39) in the first half and breezed into halftime with a commanding 47-20 advantage.
