William Woods University hopes to build bridges to the Fulton's community and children through some new programming.
WWU is hosting its Kemper Kids Summer Creativity Camp throughout July. Mildred M. Cox Gallery coordinator Jennifer Sain hopes that the summer camp - just the second of such events they've put on - will draw kids in for the summer and deepen the relationship between the school and the community.
The event follows the first Kemper Kids program at WWU's Kemper Arts Center - Kemper Kids Create Christmas at the Woods, put on last holiday season. Sain said she carried the idea for kids programming over from her previous job with the historical society in Bloomington, Ind., after she saw a need for such programs here in Fulton.
