The man accused of killing Auxvasse resident Michael Wieberg and his daughter Amanda before burning down Wieberg's home on Sept. 2 was sentenced Monday to four years in prison on a previous conviction on felony charges of nonsupport where the amount owed was in excess of $5,000.
Coari was found to be in violation of a probation parole order from Sept. 10, 2010, in a case in which he pleaded guilty to not paying child support for six months in a 12-month period and was sentenced to four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
Callaway County Sheriff Dennis Crane confirmed that Coari was transferred Tuesday from the Callaway County Jail to the Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center.
According to Crane, Coari's new sentence actually is helpful to the county - or at least its bottom line.
"He's got a detainer because he's still facing charges here in Callaway County, but this way he's being held in a state facility, paid for by the state," Crane said.
Coari's pregnant wife, Jacie Coari, who also is facing charges in connection to the Wiebergs' murders, still is in Callaway's custody.
