Ex-CEO of MTV International is Westminster trustee

FULTON, Mo. (AP) - The former chairman and CEO of MTV International will become a member of the Westminster College Board of Trustees.

The college in Fulton announced Bill Roedy's appointment Friday in a news release.

Roedy lectured at the campus last September on "Global Leadership in a Changing Age."

Roedy retired last year as chairman and CEO of MTVNI after 22 years of building the global broadcasting company. It now includes over 172 television channels outside the United States in more than 162 countries in 33 languages.

Currently, he is devoting his time to several humanitarian and philanthropic efforts, including HIV/AIDS awareness, disaster relief and human rights.

Prior to joining MTVNI, Roedy was a vice president for HBO for 10 years.
