Fulton McDonald's to re-open Thursday

June 26th, 2012 in News

The Fulton McDonald's will reopen on Thursday after being closed for a major renovation since April. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.

After three months of construction, the Fulton McDonald's once again will open its doors to the public Thursday morning.

With a 10:30 a.m. ribbon cutting, the newly rebuilt fast food restaurant will be back in business after the original building was demolished in early April.

In addition to shiny new floors and cabinets, local McDonald's customers have a few other new changes to look forward to.

"We're going to have dual-point front counter ordering, which means we'll have a more effective process of being able to wait on customers faster," manager Lisa McIntire said. "We'll also have digital menu boards and a new, fresh look in the lobby."

Another added benefit to the reconstruction, she said, is a slightly adjusted location.

"The building's more centered on the lot (now), so there will be more parking than before," McIntire said.

She said staffing for the store currently is up to 90 team members, "but we'll still continue to hire after the opening."

There also will be expanded hours. The Fulton McDonald's' drive-thru already was open 24 hours; now the dining area is as well - a move she said was prompted by customer demand.
