After a month and a half of detours, the East Wing Creek bridge over Route 94 east of Mokane has reopened to traffic after it was closed to replace the bridge floor.

On Monday another spot along Route 94 was closed by the Missouri Department of Transportation to rebuild another bridge.

This time it was the bridge over Eagle Creek west of Portland. It will be closed for about 45 days to rebuild the bridge.

The Missouri Department of Transportation is attempting to minimize disruption of school bus transportation by scheduling work when schools have a vacation break.

Starting this spring in March the bridge over the Middle River along Route PP west of Mokane was rebuilt to replace a bridge constructed in 1961. The new bridge is 175 feet long and 34 feet wide.

The next bridge rebuilt this year was the bridge over East Wing Creek east of Mokane that was completed last week. The new bridge is 90 feet long and 28 feet wide.

The third bridge constructed this year is the bridge over Eagle Creek along Route 94 near Portland. Work started Monday and is expected to be completed in 43 days.

The state has set up detours sending traffic to Route CC to Route O to Route D and back to Route 94.
