To allow improvements to railroad tracks, the Amtrak passenger train schedule for Central Missouri will change this summer.
Track work west of Jefferson City will cause schedule changes on Missouri River Runner passenger trains 311, 314, and 316 between July 9 and Oct. 20.
Train 313 operating in Central Missouri is unaffected by the schedule change.
Amtrak will continue to operate two trains daily between St. Louis and Kansas City with Central Missouri connections made both ways at Jefferson City.
Central Missouri train travelers can board Amtrak passenger trains in Jefferson City at the north end of Jefferson Street near the Missouri River.
Train 311, which operates between St. Louis and Kansas City, will arrive and depart two hours earlier than normally scheduled.
Train 314, which operates from Kansas City to St. Louis, will arrive and depart one hour earlier than normally scheduled.
Train 316, which operates from Kansas City to St. Louis, will arrive and depart one hour later than normally scheduled.
Train 313, which operates from St. Louis to Kansas City, is not affected by the schedule change.
Under the revised schedule between July 9 and Oct. 20, the following changes will apply to trains arriving and departing in Central Missouri at the Jefferson City Amtrak station:
Between J.C. and St.L.
Train 314 will depart from Jefferson City at 10:19 a.m. and arrive in St. Louis at 12:55 p.m.
Train 316 will depart from Jefferson City at 8:03 p.m. and arrive in St. Louis at 10:40 p.m.
Train 311 will depart from St. Louis at 7:15 a.m. and arrive in Jefferson City at 9:36 a.m.
Train 313 is unaffected by the schedule change. It will continue to depart from St. Louis at 4 p.m. and arrive in Jefferson City at 6:22 p.m.
Between J.C. and K.C.
Train 311 will depart from Jefferson City at 9:36 a.m. and arrive in Kansas City at 12:55 p.m.
Train 313 is unaffected by the schedule change. It will continue to depart Jefferson City at 6:22 p.m. and arrive in Kansas City at 9:40 p.m.
Train 314 will depart from Kansas City at 7:15 a.m. and arrive in Jefferson City at 10:19 a.m.
