First quarter gives Ladybirds fits in loss

KINGDOM CITY - The North Callaway Ladybirds couldn't compensate for a flat first-quarter showing.

Kennedy Volkart finished with 15 points and Russellville outscored North Callaway 23-9 in the first quarter Thursday night, riding its strong start to a 44-42 triumph over the Ladybirds.
