Three people were treated for injuries after a four-vehicle accident occurred Tuesday afternoon in Callaway County.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at U.S. 54, three miles west of Center Street in Holts Summit, around 3:30 p.m.
The patrol report shows Sandra Hawkey, 64 New Bloomfield, Carole Quimet, 47, St. Louis, and James Cassels, 64, New Bloomfield, were all slowing for an accident that happened ahead of them.
Theresa Veit, 45, Holts Summit, failed to stop and struck the rear of Cassels' vehicle.
Quimet saw the impact behind her and attempted to drive off the left side of the road.
Cassels sideswiped the passenger side of Quimet's vehicle.
Cassels also struck the rear of Hawkey's vehicle.
