To help bolster depleted food supplies for the needy at SERVE, Inc., the Fulton Sun in cooperation with local college fraternities and sororities conducted a Greek Challenge food collection drive from Jan. 23 to Feb. 2.
The winning fraternity was Phi Delta Theta, which collected 1,340 pounds of food for SERVE. In all Greek students in Fulton collected 2,832.5 pounds of nonperishable food.
SERVE officials expressed gratification to the students for their efforts.
The nonperishable food was collected Thursday at sororities and fraternities at Westminster College and William Woods University by Nicole Elliot and Pati McDonald of the Fulton Sun and delivered to SERVE.
