Junior guard Leigh Ann Lutz scored 13 points Saturday afternoon to help fuel the Westminster College Lady Blue Jays to a 70-62 win over visiting MacMurray (Ill.) College in their St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener.
Lutz - who connected on three 3-pointers - was one of three players to score in double figures for Westminster (2-2), which led 33-22 at halftime. Senior guards Kenna Cornelson and Hannah Kloster chipped in with 11 and 10 points, respectively, as the Lady Blue Jays shot 44 percent (27-of-61) as a team and committed 15 turnovers.
