While searching the house, Callaway Sheriff Dennis Crane said officers found methamphetamine and marijuana as well as 15 guns.

"We recovered two guns that were stolen - a rifle that was actually from a 2000 case in Callaway County and a handgun that was reported stolen in Cole County about a month ago," Crane said.

Kevin and Melissa Hiatte both were arrested at the scene and were taken to the Callaway County Jail.

Kevin Hiatte, 45, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also was arrested on a Callaway County warrant for first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle. He is being held on $10,000 bond.

Melissa Hiatte, 46, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of marijuana. She is being held on $4,500.

The Hiattes are scheduled to appear in Callaway County Circuit Court at 9 a.m. on Sept. 21.
