Zach Lavy had pitched three scoreless innings of relief, keeping North Callaway in position to pull out a come-from-behind victory over the Sturgeon Bulldogs on Tuesday.
In the seventh inning, with the bat in his hands, Lavy made sure both he and his team got the win.
The senior pitcher slapped a one-out pitch to left, driving in senior right fielder Collin Brinker with the decisive run and giving North Callaway a 4-3 win over Sturgeon on Tuesday night.
