Pay increases totaling $180,594 for district employees were approved Wednesday night by the South Callaway R-2 School District Board of Education.
The board took the action before swearing in new members elected in the April 3 school district election.
The money approved includes an extra $113,922 for 93 teachers and administrators and an additional $66,672 for 64 non-teaching employees. Percentage hikes vary with each employee.
The pay raises are effective at the start of the fiscal year on July 1. But employees won't see the increase until September because they have elected to receive monthly checks from the current fiscal year spread over their summer vacation period.
