South Callaway rallies late in home victory over Iberia

MOKANE - Lady Bulldogs sophomore pitcher Abby Bartley helped her own cause with a one-out triple in the bottom of the seventh inning to get the 1-0 home win over Iberia on Tuesday. With the win, the South Callaway - co-champions of the Mid-Missouri Conference - improved to 18-4 on the season.

Both of the Lady Bulldogs hits came with one out in the seventh inning. The rally started with an infield single from sophomore shortstop Bailey Ward, who scored on Bartley's hit. Bartley went the distance, giving up three hits, striking out seven and surrendering just one walk.

The South Callaway junior varsity team improved to 10-3-1 with an 11-7 win over Iberia on Tuesday. The Lady Bulldogs host Helias at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
