Rev. Jamie Haskins, the school's new director of spiritual life/chaplain and instructor in religious studies said she has been moved by the college's response in the wake of the bicycle accident that eventually resulted in the death of 22-year-old Ruslans Petrovskis, adding that she is ready to help her new community deal with its loss.

"I am looking forward to helping in honoring the life of a student," Haskins said. "I'm sure I'll be working with staff and students, and will be answering those questions that naturally come up at that age."
