Fulton man pleads guilty to bank robbery

Edward Lee Cooke, 59, of Fulton pleaded guilty Friday in United States District Court in Jefferson City to robbing a bank almost three months ago in Weaubleau, Mo.

Cooke was accused of stealing $7,847 from Sun Security Bank in Weaubleau on June 15.

Court records reveal that Cook walked toward two employees who were seated at a desk in the bank's lobby. He said: "This is a robbery." When the stunned employees did not react quickly, Cook placed his hand on the back of one employee's shoulder and said: "Move it."
