AUXVASSE - The city will be buzzing two weekends in a row with special events for the community.
To raise money for Auxvasse parks, the city parks committee is throwing a Boot-Scoot-Boogy Car Show on Saturday, Sept. 17. Events are planned for the whole day with the car show happening from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., a spaghetti dinner from 4-7 p.m. and a street dance with a live band from 7-11 p.m. A beer garden will also be available that evening.
Throughout the day, there will be food, games, prizes and vendors. All events will take place outside on Main Street, except the spaghetti dinner and the Auxvasse Community Hall fundraiser, which will take place at the hall. The community hall fundraiser will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will offer a variety of food such as hot dogs, walking tacos, deep-fried Oreos and drinks.
