Garner Rudroff is the latest ingredient to spice up the South Callaway Bulldogs' dynamic, diverse running game.

Rudroff made the most of just five carries, rushing for 73 yards and three touchdowns Friday night as state-ranked South Callaway easily handled Hallsville 34-7 in the Bulldogs' home and Mid-Missouri Conference opener.

South Callaway (2-0) - tied with Mountain View-Liberty for No. 9 in last week's Class 2 state poll - is coming off its first-ever MMC championship in 2010 and will be seeking to add another title in the conference's final season. The MMC plans to disband after the 2011-12 school year.

"It was great to get a victory at home in front of our fans," Bulldogs head coach Tim Rulo said. "Our opponent (Hallsville) has gotten better, but our players were able to rise up to that challenge and answer the call.
