As part of its annual Clothesline Project, a William Woods University sorority will display T-shirts Tuesday on campus to help raise awareness of domestic violence.

Members of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Ivy Room in the lower level of Tucker Dining Hall. They then will decorate T-shirts with messages about their views on domestic violence.

Decorated T-shirts opposing domestic violence will be displayed on campus.

"This event is a great opportunity for students to show their support for victims of domestic violence and raise awareness about this issue," said Liza Payne, president of Alpha Chi Omega.

During the event, a member of the Coalition Against Rape and Domestic Violence (CARDV) in Fulton will speak to students.

The Alpha Chi Omega chapter at William Woods helps support the local CARDV program.

The sorority's national philanthropy is domestic violence and October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
