FHS drama students to collect for SERVE food pantry

Fulton High School's Drama Club once again will be participating in the Trick-or-Treat so Kids Can Eat program this Halloween.

On Monday, Oct. 31, while their friends go door-to-door collecting candy, Fulton's young thespians will be gathering donations of canned and dry goods for the SERVE food bank as part of the Educational Theatre Association's annual fundraiser.

Costumed members of the club will collect food items during the five study hall periods at the school before going door-to-door through Fulton collecting donations from 4:30-9 p.m.

"It's one of the few things we do on a national level," said senior Isabella Long, president of the FHS Drama Club. "It's nice because all the food goes locally, but it's nice to do something that feels like we're part of a really big effort."

To help the tornado-stricken people of Dumas and surroundings, donations can be made to the Delta Area Disaster Relief Fund, care of the Delta Area Community Foundation, P.O. Box 894, Dumas, AR, 71639, or through the Arkansas Community Foundation, 700 S. Rock St., Little Rock, AR, 72202.
