Homicide suspects to be brought back to Callaway

The Audrain County couple suspected of a double homicide in Auxvasse will be back in Missouri soon.

Ryan Coari and wife Jacie Coari, waived their rights to challenge extradition in a Michigan court Friday, and are expected to be transported back to Missouri in the next several weeks.

"The Coaris' local charges (in Macomb County, Mich.) were dropped yesterday, the extradition papers were signed today and we've got 20 days to pick them up," Callaway County Sheriff Dennis Crane said, noting he could not say when that will happen due to safety concerns.

The Coaries, of Mexico, had been arrested in Macomb County on a warrant for a stolen U-Haul.

In Callaway County, Ryan Coari, 28, faces two counts of first-degree murder and arson in the death of Michael Wieberg and his daughter, Amanda Wieberg, at Michael Wiberg's home near Auxvasse on Sept. 2. He will be held with no bond.
