Owls split games at BBC/Evangel Classic

SPRINGFIELD - The Owls' record now sits at 3-2 after splitting games against Baptist Bible College and Evangel University at the Evangel/BBC Classic over the weekend.

William Woods was efficient from the field and on the boards in Friday's 79-50 win over Baptist Bible College. The Owls shot 50 percent from the field and held a 60-27 advantage on the glass. Senior forward Andrew Miller poured in a team-high 17 points while senior forward Daniel Armah and sophomore guard Jonathon Nutt pulled down 10 rebounds.

In a 76-55 loss to Evangel, William Woods found themselves down by 14 points, and got the deficit to within five points on two different occasions before falling. Junior guard Logan Decker finished with 15 points to lead the Owls.

William Woods stops in Kansas City tonight to take on Avila University. Play begins at 7:30.
