During a Veterans Day ceremony on Friday, a plaque honoring World War I veterans, originally mounted on Liberty Bridge over Stinson Creek, will be rededicated at its new location in Fulton at Memorial Park.

The 11-11-11 ceremony at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 in 2011 will be just west of the former location of the old Liberty Bridge.

The bridge was demolished last year to make way for the new roundabout in Fulton at 2nd Street, Business 54, and Missouri O.

The plaque was saved when the bridge was demolished and now is mounted on a concrete piece including two old balusters of the old bridge. It is displayed in Memorial Park just west of the old Liberty Bridge.

The plaque's new location is next to an artillery piece that was placed in the park by Fulton VFW Post 2657 on May 26, 1997, to honor all men and women from Callaway County who served their country in all of its wars.
