Gower, Blue Jays rally past Presentation in season finale

Senior running back Zain Gower's 19-yard touchdown run with 10:05 to play broke a tie and capped off Westminster College's fourth-quarter rally, sending the Blue Jays past Presentation (S.D.) College 17-10 in Saturday's season finale at Priest Field.

Westminster, preserving the victory with a red-zone stop in the last minute, ended the season at 8-2 overall and 7-2 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference. Presentation - in its first season playing football - is now 3-6 on the season and 3-5 in the UMAC with one game left to play.

The Blue Jays survived Saturday in a game in which both teams combined for nine turnovers and 15 penalties. The outcome was not secured until the final minute when a fourth-down pass by Presentation fell incomplete in the end zone and Westminster was able to run out the clock.
