After two months of discussion regarding the merits of various street resurfacing projects up for contention, the Fulton City Council approved the amended 2011 asphalt overlay project during Tuesday night's regular meeting.
"We took Court Street from Seventh Street to Tenth Street off the list because we have determined the sewer line is in poor condition, and we want to get the sewer line fixed before we do the asphalt," Director of Administration Bill Johnson said, noting city officials did not feel both projects would be able to be completed by the end of this summer.
