Cooking for Cancer event set at Callaway Christian Church

Members of the Callaway Christian Church will have a fund raising "Cooking for Cancer" competition Saturday evening at the church.

The event was suggested by Gay Castilow as a way for the church's 10-member team to raise money for the Relay For Life event to benefit the American Cancer Society. That event will be June 10 at the track on the campus of the Missouri School for the Deaf.

Cooking for Cancer is a cooking competition similar to the Chopped television series on the Food Network.

"We are charging only $2 for people to watch the Cooking for Cancer event, which will be at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the Callaway Christian Church, 2051 Silver Drive," Castilow said.
