Fatima makes the timely hits to end Fulton's win streak

Of the eight straight opponents that the Fulton Hornets have turned away with losses, two teams were marked in the loss column twice - the Moberly Spartans and the Hallsivlle Indians. Opponent number nine was another team the Hornets defeated during its run of victories, the Fatima Comets.

Fulton defeated Fatima 4-3 on April 18th, the second win of the streak. The Comets came calling again, this time in the finals of the 17th annual Fulton Invitational Tournament, playing the Hornets as close as they had before.

Close, but with a few differences. Those differences were pitches Fatima got a hold of and pitches Fulton could not get back.

"Just a couple of pitches," Fulton head coach Darren Masek said. "Sometimes balls find holes when you hit them and sometimes they don't."
