No. 9 Moberly powers past Lady Hornets again

The Fulton Lady Hornets soccer team exhausted its resources in trying to suppress state-ranked Moberly, and it still wasn't enough.

Kelly Ross responded with three goals Thursday night to direct the Lady Spartans to a 5-0 North Central Missouri Conference victory over Fulton at Morgan Soccer Complex.

Jessi Schmidt and Lindsey Boyer added goals for Moberly (15-2-1, 11-0 NCMC), ranked No. 9 in Class 2 by the Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Association. The Lady Spartans - who also blanked Fulton 8-0 on April 11 at Moberly - stopped the Lady Hornets' five-game winning streak Thursday night.
