The William Woods University Lady Owls softball team took to the road again to toss aside another higher-seeded opponent in the American Midwest Conference postseason tournament.
Senior catcher Megan Willard hit a walk-off, three-run home run to punctuate a four-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday, lifting No. 6 seed William Woods to a 9-8 victory over No. 2 Columbia College in the AMC semifinals.
The Lady Owls completed a sweep of their best-of-three series with the No. 15 Lady Cougars after winning Tuesday's opener 1-0 in nine innings.
