Some summer road trips start with a group of friends, a car and no sort of plan but to just drive. But four Westminster students are road tripping with a purpose this summer and with an intent to connect with former - and maybe future - Westminster students.

The group of students will be a part of the third annual Blue Jay Across the U.S.A. Summer Road Trip, which started last Thursday in Kansas City and continues today in Springfield. The quartet will travel 6,000 miles in a five-week stretch, hitting 26 cities in 13 states from now until July 22 in a Blue Jay-blue van.

The goal is to touch base with former Blue Jays, try to pull in potential new students and, perhaps, inspire current attendees to be more active.
