When the Facilities Solution Group developed plans and specifications for the addition of a girls' locker room at the Fulton Middle School, they failed to account for moving utilities for the new space. That lack has resulted in bids for the project coming in much higher than expected.
During Wednesday night's regular school board meeting, Superintendent Jacque Cowherd told board members that although the original bond issue estimate for the locker room was $235,000, the lowest bid - submitted by Glove Con, Inc., of Fulton - came in at $390,500.
