Antiques to be appraised at benefit for Manor

Those who want to find out how much their old treasures are worth can do so Thursday at a special event the Fulton Presbyterian Manor is hosting.

The Antiques Appraisal will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hazel Kinder's Lighthouse Theater in Millersburg. The event is a fundraiser for the Manor and will bring in a special guest for the occasion. Gary Piattoni, who regular appears on PBS's antiques TV show, will attend the benefit to give his professional determination for the potential value of items. The first 75 items brought in will be evaluated. No jewelry, stamps or coins will be appraised. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $20 from the Manor or at the door for $25. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres will be served at the fundraiser.

To help the tornado-stricken people of Dumas and surroundings, donations can be made to the Delta Area Disaster Relief Fund, care of the Delta Area Community Foundation, P.O. Box 894, Dumas, AR, 71639, or through the Arkansas Community Foundation, 700 S. Rock St., Little Rock, AR, 72202.
