The Blue Jays improved to 3-0 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with an 83-65 road win over MacMurray College on Tuesday night. Westminster is now 6-5 overall and 3-0 in the SLIAC.
Three players reached double figures on the night. Junior guard Rachel Backes knocked down 7-of-11 shots to end the game with 19 points while also handing out four assists. Sophomore guard Hannah Kloster scored 16 points and junior guard Heather Lotourneau had 10 points.
The Blue Jays will continue SLIAC play tonight when they host Blackburn College starting at 6 p.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Ill., - The Blue Jays got double digit scoring efforts from four players to beat MacMurray on Tuesday night in SLIAC action. The win got the Blue Jays off of a two-game losing streak suffered in last week's trip to Hawaii.
Senior forwards Justin Gilmore and Jake Vislay each poured in 16 points for Westminster on the night. Sophomore guard Skylar Tolson scored 15 points and freshman guard Joe James added 10 points for the Blue Jays (5-6, 3-0 SLIAC), who shot 52 percent from the field.
Westminster will play SLIAC opponent Blackburn at home tonight at 8 p.m.
Fulton basketball (V/B)................50
HANNIBAL - The Hornets got outscored 19-7 by the Pirates in the third quarter on Tuesday night in North Central Missouri Conference play. The loss was the team's second straight, their first such streak of the season.
Fulton led 21-20 at halftime before the breakdown of their interior defense and offensive futility occurred. The Hornets got a team-high 11 points from two senior players, guards Blake Calvin and Derek Musgrove.
The junior varsity team remained undefeated with a 47-32 win over Hannibal earlier Tuesday night. Jake Nicholson had 12 points to lead the team while Austin Moore and Dalton Horstmeier each had 10 points.
The Hornets (6-3, 2-1 NCMC) will try to right the ship when they continue their road trip at NCMC-rival Moberly on Friday. The game tips off at 6 p.m.
North Callaway basketball (V/B)..47
CALIFORNIA - The T-Birds (2-6) led 25-20 at halftime but couldn't sustain the lead for the rest of the night against the hosting PIntos. All totaled, North Callaway turned the ball over 25 times with 15 coming in the second half while shooting just 11-of-22 from the free throw line.
Senior forward Jacob Stafford was the only T-Bird in double figures with 16 points, including 2-of-3 from behind the 3-point line. California (6-2) had three players in double figures, led by Taron Morris' game-high 19 points. Alex Randall and Phillip Longan scored 12 points.
