Ladybirds down the visiting Lady Hornets in rare Callaway County match-up

On Wednesday night at Kingdom City, junior guard Jordan Gray connected for 16 points to direct two players in double figures in North Callaway's 57-47 triumph over Fulton.

Freshman guard Jaida Gray also tallied 12 points for North Callaway.

Junior guard Corri Hamilton topped Fulton (8-14) with a game-high 22 points. The Lady Hornets finish the regular season at home against North Central Missouri Conference rival Mexico at 6 tonight.

North Callaway hosts Southern Boone in an MMC encounter at 6 p.m. Monday.

KINGDOM CITY - The Hornets outscored the Thunderbirds 30-19 in the second half Wednesday night to stop a two-game losing streak.

Senior forward Nick Christensen responded with 13 points to lead Fulton (11-10).

Junior guard Zack Lavy countered with a game-high 17 points for North Callaway (5-14). The Hornets and Thunderbirds return to action tonight. Fulton closes out the regular season at home against North Central Missouri Conference rival Mexico at 7:30 at Roger D. Davis Gymnasium.

Meanwhile, North Callaway plays Hallsville tonight at 6.

MOKANE - The Bulldogs bounced back from at Harrisburg to take down Missouri Military Academy in a make-up game victory on Wednesday evening.

Senior guard Will Brandt led the Bulldogs with 18 points. The win came a night after the Bulldogs lost a road game to Harrisburg by a score of 61-51. Brandt led South Callaway in scoring with 16 points on the night.

The Bulldogs play Southern Boone tonight at 4:30 p.m.

Freshman guard Leigh Ann Lutz scored a team-high 19 points for Westminster (17-5, 14-0 SLIAC) on Wednesday night in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play. The Lady Blue Jays play the regular-season home finale on Saturday against Eureka at 1 p.m.

Fulton Athletic Booster Club

plans chili supper tonight

The Fulton Athletic Booster Club will host a chili supper tonight at the high school tonight from 5-7 p.m. The cost for the supper is $7. Children ages 5 and younger are free. All proceeds from tonight's supper will benefit Fulton athletic programs.

gold at O'Fallon Tournament

O'FALLON, Ill. - Fulton Parks and Rec Kids Wrestlng Club members Owen Uhls, Andy Baysinger and Jackson Caswell captured gold medals in the weight classes of their respective age divisions at the O'Fallon Tournament last weekend.

The Fulton club will host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Fulton VFW Post.
