The T-Birds put up double digit scoring efforts in all four quarters to cruise past Missouri Military Academy 64-32 at home on Monday night. North Callaway improved to 5-11 on the year on the strength of three double digit scorers.
Junior forward Zack Lavy led all players with 22 points, 21 of which came in the first half. Lavy hit four of his five three pointers in that first half as well, helping the T-Birds jump out to a 31-13 lead at the break. Junior forward Tyler Oberlag scored 10 fourth-quarter points off the bench and senior forward Jacob Stafford also added 10. MMA was led by Jared Roberts' 20 points.
The junior varsity T-Birds also came out victorious, beating MMA 32-17 improving to 6-4 on the season. Both teams play again tonight at Harrisburg starting at 6 p.m.

HARRISBURG - The defending state champions from Harrisburg, ranked No. 7 in Class 2, held court at home and cruised to a Mid-Missouri Conference victory over North Callaway on Monday night.
Freshman forward Maddie Sorrell led the Lady Birds with 10 points , two more than senior forward Morgan Brown-Emmons' eight points. North Callaway fell to 5-10 overall and 2-3 in the conference.
Freshman center Chelsea Coil led the Lady Birds junior varsity team with 11 points but Harrisburg prevailed in that game 45-21. Both teams take on conference rival South Callaway Thursday night at home starting at 6 p.m.

JEFFERSON CITY - The Lady Hornets were down 21-14 at half but couldn't overcome a 16-7 third quarter as they fell to Helias on Monday night in a non-conference road game.
Helias got a game-high 14 points from two players, Olivia Hackman and Taylor Hagenoff, while Katie Sauer dropped in 14 points. Fulton was led by junior forward Cori Hamilton's 10 points.
The Lady Hornets (7-11) play conference North Central Missouri Conference opponent Kirksville tonight at 6 p.m.

The Owls rebounded from last weekend's conference loss to cruise past American Midwest Conference-foe Harris-Stowe at Anderson Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Senior forward Jestine Gerber led the Owls with 19 point, four steals and two assists on the day. Junior forward Megan Aubuchon and junior forward Miranda Loesch were the other two William Woods players in double figures with 18 and 10 points respectively.
William Woods (20-2, 9-1 AMC) shot 47.8 percent from the field on the day and will return to action on Thursday in a road game against AMC opponent Hannibal-LaGrange. Play starts at 5:30 p.m.

The Owls fought back from a 10-point halftime deficit but lost a conference game in overtime to Harris-Stowe on Saturday. Harris-Stowe held William Woods to 32.7 percent shooting from the field, dropping the Owls to 9-15 overall and 3-6 in AMC play
Junior forward Andrew Miller led William Woods with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore guard Logan Decker chipped in with 15 points.
William Woods plays at Hannibal-LaGrange in AMC play on Thursday night. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m.
WWU track teams run at Illinois Wesleyan
NORMAL, Ill., - Two Owls distance runners placed high in their respective runs at the Illinois Wesleyan Collge Invitational on Saturday. The event was the third one for both sides on the season.
Sophomore Ryan Meyer took first place in the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:20.85, crossing the line first out of 15 runners competing. Meyer's time was one second away from qualifying for the National meet.
Junior Cheryl Held came out on top in the women's 5000 meter jaunt and did qualify for NAIA Nationals with a time of 18:18.15. Held's time placed her her second of 10 runners.
Both teams run again this weekend at the Indiana Wesleyan University Invitational in Marion, Ind., starting Friday.

GREENVILLE, Ill., - The Blue Jays rebounded from a three-game losing streak to with a road St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win at Greenville on Saturday. The Blue Jays swept the season series with Greenville and improved to 11-9 overall and 8-3 in the SLIAC.
Four Westminster players reached double figures, led by 12-point outings from freshman guard Joe James and and senior forward Justin Gilmore. Senior forward Jake Vislay added 11 points and a team-high nine rebounds while sophomore guard Skylar Tolson dropped in 10 points of his own.
Westminster, currently third in the SLIAC conference race, took on Fontbonne tonight at home but scores were not available.

GREENVILLE, Ill., - In their second straight tight ball game, the Lady Blue Jays once again came out on top in Saturday's four-point SLIAC victory at Greenville College. Westminster improved to 14-5 overall and stayed perfect at 11-0 in the conference. The win also sealed up a berth in the SLIAC postseason tournament for the team.
Sophomore guard Kenna Cornelson was one of Westminster players in double figures, leading the way with 18 points. Junior guard Rachel Backes added 15 points and junior forward Liz Klaffenbach dropped in 13 points to go with her four rebounds. Freshman gurad Leigh Ann Lutz was the low person on the double digit scoring scale with 10 points off the bench.
The Lady Blue Jays played a make-up game against Fontbonne on Monday night at home but scores were not readily available.
