February 3rd, 2011 in News

In anticipation of the blizzard that besieged the mid-Missouri area, the Westminster College men's and women's teams postponed Wednesday night's scheduled home doubleheader against SLIAC opponent Fontbonne University.

The games will be made up Monday night, starting with the women's contest at 6. The men's game then tips off at 8.

Westminster will travel to Greenville (Ill.) College for a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader on Saturday. The women will begin at 1, followed by the men at 3.

The Lady Blue Jays - owners of an eight-game winning streak - are 13-5 overall and hold a two-game lead in the conference standings at 10-0. The Blue Jays (10-9), meanwhile, have dropped three in a row and have fallen into a tie for third place in the SLIAC at 7-3.
