Callaway County residents express resolutions, hopes for 2012

As 2012 rolls in, along with it comes hopes and aspirations for the new year.

Residents from around the county share some personal goals for 2012 as well as some wishes for the year ahead.

Barbara Mann, of Fulton, said her resolution is to reach out more to other people.

"What I want most of all is to know God better," Mann added.

John J. Harris, of Fulton, said he's curious to see what the election will bring this year.

"There's got to be some modification in politics," he said.

Harris said he hopes the election will bring some changes for the average population, not just "the favored few" who he described as "the people with money and influence."

Harris added that he doesn't have any New Year's resolutions because "after you pass 75, they don't amount to much."

Andrea Galbreath, of Fulton, said her goal for 2012 is not to buy anything that she doesn't need.

"My New Year's resolution is to save money - save, save, save every penny," Galbreath said.
