Old paper that some people might recycle or throw out, Jennifer Sain uses to create art.
Sain, of Fulton, takes paper scraps, cuts shapes from them, and glues them together to form a collage. It was Sain's collage artwork that Yolanda Ciolli saw and knew she wanted for a children's book she was preparing to publish. Ciolli, owner of AKA-Publishing of Columbia, met with Sain and decided to use her work to illustrate a new book entitled "D.W. (Don't Worry)."
"I just really fell in love with the collage paper, with the cut paper, because it's unique and different," Ciolli recalled.
"D.W." was released the first week of December and can be purchased through Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
