The statewide organization includes all county commissioners elected in Missouri's 114 counties. Kritzer will serve as president of the association through most of 2012. He also has served as a board member of the statewide organization for the last six years.

In 2006, Kritzer was selected by other commissioners to the organization's legislative committee that lobbies the Missouri General Assembly on proposed legislation desired by county commissioners. Since his first involvement in statewide legislative issues, he has continued to be a statewide leader of the organization.

Kritzer has been active in the statewide commissioners group since he was first elected as a Republican candidate for Callaway County commissioner in November of 2004.

"I've enjoyed the work at that level because the organization has commissioners from all over the state. Our group also is responsible for annual training of county commissioners, which starts in February," Kritzer said.
