Although it may not be evident on the exterior of the building, the Callaway Arts Council said progress is being made on renovation of the Fulton Theater.

There may not have been many changes on the marquee at the Fulton Theater recently, but the interior of the building is another story.

Dale Lewis and David McDaniel, who currently comprise the Callaway Arts Council's board, said it may be slow and steady, but progress is being made on renovation of the historic structure.

"Right now we're working on little bits and pieces, moving along as we get the money," Lewis said. "We just received a $2,000 contribution from the Fulton Heritage Trust."

Thus far, most of the progress has been in the form of demolition.
