Four injured in accidents

Four people were injured in two Callaway County accidents on Sunday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Joyce E. Dickson, 64, Tebbetts, was hurt in an accident at 5:55 p.m. Sunday on Callaway County Road 4031, one-half mile north of Missouri 94, just west of Wainwright.

The patrol reported the accident occurred when Dickson's northbound 2006 Chrysler crossed the roadway on a curve and hit head-on a southbound 1996 Pontiac driven by Kristy A. Darland, 36, Jefferson City.

Dickson and a passenger in Darland's vehicle, Shanna M. Jacobs, 4, of Jefferson City, had minor injuries and were transported to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.

Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and all occupants of both vehicles were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident at 10:45 a.m. on Callaway County Road 391, about 30 feet south of Callaway County Road 396, just west of Holts Summit.

The patrol reported the accident occurred when a southbound 1993 Ford driven by Breanne L. Railey, 18, Holts Summit, ran off the right side of the road and then struck a tree.

Railey and a passenger in the vehicle, Khadeeja B. Abdurrab, 16, Jefferson City, both had minor injuries. They were transported to St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.

The vehicle was demolished and both occupants were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
