No. 10 Bulldogs bolt out of gate, bury Falcons

FAYETTE - The South Callaway Bulldogs still feel the need to establish their credentials.

The senior tandem of quarterback Konrad Kemper and back T.J. Buchholz both accounted for a pair of touchdowns in Friday night's season opener, sparking state-ranked South Callaway to a runaway 41-13 victory over Fayette.

Despite three straight postseason appearances, punctuated by a breakthrough 10-win season in 2010 which included numerous firsts - a playoff victory and district and conference championships - South Callaway is still trying to validate its status. The Bulldogs were tied for No. 10 with Mountain-View Liberty in the Class 2 preseason state poll released last week.
